Hello hello — I’m Dafne.

I’m a Chilean graphic designer, currently transitioning my practice to the UK.
Design, for me, is not an isolated discipline but a territory in constant dialogue with culture, architecture, music, cinema, literature, and the stories we choose to tell through images. My practice is driven by a restless curiosity and a playful observation of the human — its gestures, contradictions, and symbols.
I work primarily with fashion and apparel brands, combining creative direction and high-end retouching to craft imagery with identity, character, and depth. I’m interested in pursuing a more honest form of beauty — one that is culturally grounded and emotionally resonant.
Throughout my journey, I’ve worked across institutional contexts — including large-scale editorial projects for the Chilean Ministry of Education — as well as photography studios, retail, and independent creative environments. This dual experience has shaped a rigorous approach without losing sensitivity or creative risk.
Alongside my professional practice, I actively engage in spaces of cultural reflection. I’ve taught post-production and taken part in talks and conversations at schools and cultural centres such as GAM, exploring themes of Latin American identity in contemporary imagery and the need to challenge the homogenising logic of the algorithm.
Today, my work exists at that intersection — between craft and exploration, the technical and the intuitive, the collective and the deeply personal.
